    Description

    Here we have a powerhead for 1956 Johnson Evinrude 10 hp outboards, this may fit other models as well. The good with this powerhead is that the cylinder bores are nice and smooth- minimal to no scoring in the cylinders. The reed suction is strong  while turning the motor over by hand. The reciprocating assembly is nice and tight.
    The bad with this powerhead is that there is no cylinder head(the original cylinder head had been BADLY heli-coiled so it was discarded). There are also a couple of exhaust cover bolts broken off in the block.
    Overall, this is a powerhead that could be fixed up and used but it needs some work. See pics.
