Description
Up for sale is one of the hardest knife kits to find. This is the Blackie Collins 'Duce' Folding /fixed blade Set made in the 1980's and is number 0119. I have owned 6 of these sets and found the highest number to be 252, and the lowest 026. I believe less that 300 were ever made. its uniqueness is that the blades are interchangeable using a simple push pin. The pin hole on the back side of this knife has a small indention at the pin hole where it appears the factory might have started drilling at the wrong spot. does not affect pushing the pin in/out. (see picture) Each blade part is numbered, and the yellow Micarta handles were the most popular. The original mint box has all the directions on the inside. While it takes some patience to change the blade, its makes it a fun knife as well as a knife to use. This set has never been used to my knowledge, I have owned about 15/20 years, and this is the last one for sale. I am keeping one that does not have the box, which most buyers want. Some knife folks call these experimental knives, since they were the first modern custom knives having 2 blades that are interchangeable to the same frame. The folding blade measures 31/2", while the straight blade is a little longer and has a fuller deeper blade.Shipping is always USPS Priority mail in the USA ONLY. Payment is due when the auction is closed. Thanks for looking and please see my other listings.
