For sale is the powerhead assembly
for Mercury K
G 9
outboards, This powerhead is in good condition. It was removed from a motor that was only used in freshwater. The reciprocating assembly is nice and tight. Reed pull thru is great. Compression is good, all 4 cylinders had around 115 psi when we tested it and this is a difficult motor to rope over(our recoil was broken). This powerhead may have been rebuilt at some point- looking thru the exhaust ports, the pistons look fairly fresh in it. Regardless, it is a nice powerhead and a great candidate for use in a restoration project!
There are no cracks, breaks, welds, or heli-coils on this powerhead.
