Vintage Benjamin Rocket Model 262 .22 Cal. CO2 Pellet Air Pistol c. 1940

I recently purchased this Benjamin Rocket .22 cal. Model 262 air pistol or pellet gun from a friend that said it belonged to his Dad. He thought it might be from the 1950's or earlier.  It is CO2 powered and I believe it takes the shorter 2.5" CO2 cartridges (there is an empty on currently in the pistol).  The pellet gun is in good mechanical order with two working settings on the cocking bolt and a working safety mechanism but I have not tested it with a full CO2 cartridge The hard rubber, Bakelite or plastic handles are in good condition.  The pistol hasn't been cleaned in a long time but the surface looks alright with possibly a little light rust but much of the bluing is still present.
